Asia-Pacific Law Society: Social Secretary

I am running for the Social Secretary position to create more networking and career-building opportunities for students in the APAC region. Being an international student is challenging as it is, and with increasing uncertainty around graduate visas, it is more critical than ever for students to start building connections early. I would like to propose the following events:

1. More fireside chats with former students from the APAC region who are practising in the UK
2. Application tracker for opportunities in the APAC region

Through the events I hope to organise, I want to create platforms where students can meet and learn from industry professionals, and connect with peers who share similar interests. Ultimately, as Social Secretary, I hope for students to build their confidence, expand their networks, and gain exposure to the industry from the start of their university journey.
