Asia-Pacific Law Society: Social Media & Outreach Officer

Hi everyone! I'm Charmaine and I’m from Hong Kong. I’m looking forward to running for the Social Media and Outreach role in the UCL APAC Law Society!

From my previous experience as Marketing Director in other UCL society subcommittees, I gained valuable experience in promoting events online and working collaboratively in a team. Currently, I’m undertaking a work experience at a gallery in London, where I help with managing their website and designing Instagram posts to promote events and art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong.

I thrive in dynamic and creative environments where effective communication and strategic outreach are essential, so my goal is to build strong connections within and beyond our society and UCL. I plan to actively seek input from our members and the committee to ensure that our content and events are inclusive and relevant to diverse legal interests.

In this role, I plan to design engaging content that highlight our events, such as networking opportunities, while providing insights on emerging trends in the legal sector, such as AI and international law, keeping our members informed as they navigate their legal careers.

My vision is to create a platform for meaningful interaction that makes our society more accessible. Additionally, I aim to foster partnerships with other universities and legal organisations to expand our impact and reach.

I look forward to collaborating with all of you to make the society a leading network for aspiring legal minds!
