Arts and Sciences Society: Charity Officer

Hi everyone, I’m Aaliya, a first year on the BASc majoring in Cultures and minoring in Sciences & Engineering. I'm super excited to get involved with the committee next year and help us all benefit from the uniqueness of our degree and our diverse interdisciplinary community.

As charity officer, I would be keen to see how we could make an impact on the wider community, and get more involved with valuable causes and initiatives as a society!

Hi, my name is Maya! I'm currently a first year BASc student majoring in the Societies pathway. There's so much I love about being a part of the BASc community, whether it's meeting people with so many different ideas or just hanging out in the common room. 

Over the years, I've volunteered with charities supporting different causes, including mental health, meal distribution, and period poverty. I'm running for Charity Officer because I'm passionate about using our interdisciplinary perspective to make a meaningful difference, and I want to use my experience to give back to our community. I'd love to work with the committee to find creative, interdisciplinary initiatives and organise fun events that can bring our department together while also raising funds for important causes and making a lasting impact.
