Arab and North African Society: Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer because I believe strong organizations rely on structure, accountability, and responsible financial management in order to successfully support their initiatives and community. I would like to contribute to the society by ensuring that its resources are managed carefully so that it can continue to host meaningful events and initiatives for its members.

I have a strong analytical background that shapes the way I approach organization and problem solving. I am currently taking engineering coursework that emphasizes quantitative reasoning and structured thinking, and for the past four years I have worked as a tutor in algebra and pre-calculus. Teaching mathematics required precision, clarity, and attention to detail while strengthening my ability to approach complex problems methodically.

These experiences have developed the organizational discipline and accountability necessary for financial management. As Treasurer, I would focus on maintaining clear financial records, ensuring transparency in budgeting, and working closely with the committee to allocate resources effectively so the society can continue to grow.

I am standing for this role because I am motivated to contribute to the society and help ensure it has the financial structure needed to support its community and future goals.
