Arab and North African Society: Media Officer

When I first started university, everything felt new and a little overwhelming. During that transition, the Arab SOC was a space where I felt comfortable and welcomed. It’s a genuine close-knit community where people can connect over shared culture and interests, and that sense of familiarity made settling in seamless and thrilling . 

What I appreciate most about the society is how  inclusive it is. It’s an environment where people feel encouraged to engage with Arab culture, meet new people, and build friendships. Whether someone joins because they share the culture or simply want to learn more, I’ve appreciated that the society makes everyone feel part of something.

That’s why I’d love to take on the role of Media Officer. I want to help promote the society in a way that reflects its energy. Through social media and creative content, I’d aim to highlight our events, celebrate Arab culture, and make the society more visible across campus so that more people feel encouraged to get involved. For me, this role is about contributing to something that has already had a positive impact on my university experience. I’d love the opportunity to help showcase what makes the society special and support its growth so that even more people can enjoy being part of it.
