Arab and North African Society: Events Officer

I am standing for Events Officer because I care deeply about building community and creating spaces where people feel both represented and included. Having grown up between cultures and lived in multiple countries, I understand how important it is for people to find spaces where their identity is celebrated and where they feel they belong. I would love to help create events that bring Arab and North African students together while also welcoming others to learn and appreciate our cultures.

As Vice President of the National Art Honor Society, I have developed strong experience in organizing events and coordinating teams. I help plan and execute induction ceremonies, meetings, and exhibitions that require careful scheduling, collaboration, and attention to detail. This includes coordinating logistics, planning visual displays and decorations, working with committees, and ensuring events run smoothly from preparation to execution. These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead collaboratively while also keeping organization and structure at the center of event planning.

If elected, I would focus on creating events that are engaging, well-organized, and inclusive. My goal would be to ensure that members feel proud of their culture while also fostering a welcoming environment where people from different backgrounds can connect and build community.
