Analogue Magazine: Treasurer

I'm standing to be Treasurer for Analogue Magazine as I'm passionate in preserving the art of analogue media, especially by empowering young people to create and share their work in a welcoming environment. As a member of Analogue Magazine the past couple of months have really inspired me to engage with creative writing, especially poetry. Knowing my work contributes to a larger project is rewarding, and I would love to take on a role that helps Analogue Magazine continue to expand in the future. It's gratifying to see all the amazing work being contributed towards the project and seeing my own creative work being shared outside an immediate audience. As treasurer, I would help with organising funds for events that we hold as well as reporting sales of magazines. By ensuring financial responsibility for Analogue, we can ensure that we are able to continue with the large variety of events we already hold including photography, crafts, zine workshops and much more. Hopefully, as a growing society we'll also be able to organise larger events in the future with the help of members of Analogue Magazine! I think that previous experience in leading Environmental Society during Sixth Form has helped hone my planning and organisational skills which would allow me to undertake the role of treasurer, where organisation is key to ensuring the running of our largest events, such as our magazine launch parties. Hope you'll consider me as your future treasurer!

Analogue is very close to my heart because of its dedication to freedom of creative expression. It is vibrant, diverse, incredibly authentic to each and every person that contributes to its issues, and I feel it is important to spread this authenticity. I believe being the treasurer would allow me to closely work towards this goal and make Analogue even more expansive! <3
