Alternative Proteins Society: President

Hi everyone,

I am Tan, your current Events Director, and now I'm running for Alt Protein's President.

I joined UCL APP at the beginning of my first year and have been an active member ever since. This year, I served as the society's Events Director, where my work has revolved around inviting external speakers and setting up the events you all have been enjoying. However, I still have this lingering feeling of not having done enough.

Could we have had more events? More speakers? Or more lab visits?

I honestly do not know, but I do know that I want more: more opportunities to expand our alternative protein community, and more opportunities for those interested in working in this field. What better position to do all of that than as President?

I may not have the deepest connections or the most knowledge within this field yet, but I do have the hunger to learn and strive for more - especially for the members of this society I have come to love.
