"Over the last year, it's been so nice to see a real sense of sisterhood build throughout the girls at ABSoc, to be around likeminded people all coming together for the same purpose is genuinely beautiful. As Sisters Rep, I want to build upon that community and strengthen the bonds we're already creating. I'm committed to making sure every new sister feels welcomed, valued, and genuinely supported, in the way that I was treated by the previous committee. Whether it's through more regular girls socials, travelling to events together, one-on-one check-ins, or just being someone people know that they can talk to, I want to be actively present and help deepen those connections. I believe that a strong sisterhood is so important, and I'm excited to help nurture and grow it even further next year!

I believe I would make a strong Sisters’ Representative for ABSoc because I am organised, productive, and approachable. I have really enjoyed attending ABSoc events so far, and I would love the opportunity to contribute to the society and help ensure sisters feel comfortable, included, and encouraged to take part in events. I also have experience helping organise Islamic gatherings in my day-to-day life. I regularly volunteer at my local mosque, where I assist with tasks such as packing food for guests, preparing for iftar, and setting up halls for mawlids and majlis'. Through this, I have developed strong teamwork and communication skills and have become used to helping create welcoming spaces for members of the community. I would really appreciate the opportunity to represent the sisters in ABSoc and contribute to creating a supportive and welcoming environment within the society.

I believe I would stand as a great sisters’ rep, having been on committee for a year now. Engaging with sisters in the community both in and out of the academic sphere has helped me gauge your wants & needs, so I may be able to facilitate change that’ll benefit you both on and off campus! I’m open to feedback you believe will make this a safer, more comfortable and enjoyable space.
