Hi, I’m Christina, a first-year Geography and Economics student at UCL with a strong interest in strategy, impact-driven projects, and building meaningful external partnerships. I’m inspired by 180 Degrees Consulting’s mission to deliver high-quality consulting services to socially conscious organisations and create measurable impact through student-led projects.
I am applying for Sponsorship & Partnerships Director because sustainable and strategic external relationships are essential to the branch’s growth and credibility. Strong partnerships with firms, NGOs, and corporate sponsors enable 180DC to expand opportunities for consultants, enhance training resources, and strengthen its professional presence. In high school, I held leadership roles in my Economics Society, where I actively reached out to sponsors and managed relationships to support events and activities. This experience taught me how clear communication, professionalism, and long-term thinking are key to building trust with partners.
If elected, I would focus on developing structured outreach strategies to consulting firms, impact-driven companies, and socially responsible organisations. I would work to secure sustainable sponsorships while ensuring partners clearly see the value of collaborating with 180DC UCL. My goal is to strengthen the branch’s external network and support its continued growth as a professional and impact-oriented consulting platform.
I am standing for the Sponsorship & Partnerships Director role because, after two years in 180 Degrees Consulting and completing two client projects, I feel ready to give back to the society at a higher level and help shape its future more strategically. My time as a consultant has shown me firsthand how valuable this society is in building members’ confidence, professional skills, and exposure to real-world problem solving. Now, I want to take that impact even further by securing strong sponsorships and meaningful partnerships that can open more doors for our members through career insight, professional connections, and opportunities to learn directly from industry professionals.
I am ambitious about what this role can achieve. I believe 180DC has the potential to grow even stronger, and I want to help build the external relationships that will elevate the experience of every member and create lasting value for the society. If elected, I would approach this role with energy, commitment, and a genuine desire to serve the society that has already given me so much. I would be truly grateful for your trust and support, and I hope to have the opportunity to give back by helping 180DC continue to grow and thrive.
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Chelsie Chen, a Year 2 Cancer Biomedicine student, and I’m running for Sponsorship & Partnerships Director for 180 Degrees Consulting Society.
I’m currently the Outreach & Operations Officer at LSF, where I’ve gained experience reaching out to industry professionals, VCs, and startup founders to build partnerships and opportunities for students.
I also have consulting experience with Blackmont Consulting, LSC, and the Consulting Society, and I’m currently going through the consulting application cycle, so I understand how challenging it can be, especially coming from a science background without formal business training.
Because of this, I’m passionate about helping students gain real client consulting experience and valuable industry connections that make the transition into consulting easier.
If elected, I will work hard to bring in strong clients, exciting consulting projects, and valuable partnerships so that UCL students can gain the most impactful experience possible and maybe even make our neighbours at LSE a little jealous 😉💼✨
Thank you so much for your support! 🙌
Chelsie Chen
