Aarona Sarkar

I am standing for the position of Event Officer because I am passionate about creating impactful and engaging events that bring people together, provide valuable opportunities, and foster a strong sense of community among women in STEM. As an astrophysics student, I strongly believe that events tailored to support, empower, and celebrate women in STEM can make a real difference.
I have always enjoyed event planning and management, from brainstorming innovative ideas to handling logistics and ensuring seamless execution. I thrive in environments where I can organise, coordinate, and collaborate with others to bring a vision to life. Whether it’s small networking sessions, large-scale conferences, or interactive workshops, I take great pride in creating events that are well-structured, engaging, and beneficial for attendees.
I believe that well-planned events can enhance both personal and professional growth while fostering a supportive environment where women feel empowered to pursue their ambitions. I would be dedicated to making each event meaningful, well-executed, and accessible to as many people as possible.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my enthusiasm, creativity, and organizational skills to the Women in STEM society. If given the chance, I would work hard to ensure our events are not just successful, but also inspiring and memorable for everyone involved.

Harini Vaithilingam
