As your former treasurer and president, I've gained valuable insights into our society's operations and community needs. Now, I'm eager to serve as your Diversity and Inclusion Representative, bringing fresh perspectives while building on our shared experiences.

My vision for a more inclusive UCL Welsh Society includes:

Celebrating Welsh Heritage Across Backgrounds:
I'll create spaces where people from all backgrounds can connect with Welsh culture, whether through ancestry, interest, or newfound appreciation. Our events will honor traditional Welsh customs while welcoming diverse interpretations and experiences.
Accessible Programming:
I commit to ensuring our events accommodate varying needs, including physical accessibility, financial considerations, and scheduling that works for members with diverse commitments.
Multilingual Approach:
I'll promote bilingual and multilingual resources to make Welsh language and culture accessible to more people, regardless of their linguistic background.
Community Partnerships:
I'll establish relationships with other UCL cultural groups to create collaborative events celebrating the intersections of Welsh heritage with other identities and traditions.

My experience in leadership positions has prepared me to implement these initiatives effectively while managing resources responsibly. I believe our society thrives when everyone feels welcomed and valued.
