Election post
Hello everyone! As many of you will know my name is Josh and I am running to be President of UCL UNA! I have been a member of the committee for the last two years, first as a first year rep and then as MUN Director. During my time in the society, I have become fully immersed in the workings of the society and have made some amazing friends along the way! I believe that our society is an amazing community and it would be my honour to help guide this society onwards next year!
As MUN Director this academic year I haves run and attended most weekly sessions and helped guide new members into the world of MUN. I have also lead a UCL delegation to almost 10 conferences this year through the UK. I have also gotten to know well the intercollegiate circuit and have connections in order to expand for next year!
What would I do?
- Continue to hold weekly Model UN sessions and also have more specialised sessions such as Courts and Crisis
- Ensure there are speaker events and embassy visits throughout the next academic year,
- Make stronger the intercollegiate bond between UCL and other London UNA societies such as SOAS, LSE, Queen Mary and KCL
- Hold biweekly socials to foster a community
- Properly launch a new UCL UNA Journal called Polaris
- Lead UCLMUN conference into another successful iteration
