Election post

Elected

I am standing for MUN Director for a two main reasons - my passion for the society and my ability to lead.

The first, and most important reason is my passion for the society - MUN is something near and dear to me, and a as a result, a clear priority. This can be seen in how I always attend practices, and have attended most of the conferences this year. This level of commitment will remain if I am elected MUN Director, and will be channeled into everything that I do for the club.

The second reason I am standing is that I will be able to leverage the skills gained both as a member and as a first year representative to benefit the society. This is important in several ways - firstly, I learned how practices are planned, meaning that I can tailor them to the wants and needs of society members. Additionally, by attending many conferences as a delegate and support staff, and doing both GA and crisis committees, I learned how the UK circuit functions, and what chairs look for in a delegate. This, paired with my experience, can allow for me to enrich the experience of delegates by giving them advice on what to expect from a given committee. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to meet the leadership of other MUN societies and form connections with them - something that will be invaluable for planning future collaborations between us and other universities.

All in all I am a candidate who combines skill, passion and experience to improve the club.

Thank you,
Robin Haller
