Being part of UCL Tamil Society has been one of the best parts of my uni experience. As Vice President this year and First Year Rep last year, I’ve seen how TSoc runs, what works well, and what can be improved. It’s been a crazy, busy, and rewarding journey, and now I’m ready to take things up a notch as President. I’ve poured my heart into TSoc, from organising events that unite our community to staying connected to our roots through volunteering for Maaveerar Naal and running Tamil lessons. I’ve been fully invested in making TSoc meaningful and enjoyable, and this is just the beginning—I have big plans for next year and would love to bring them to life.
Being Vice President has given me hands-on experience with event planning, team coordination, budgeting, and all the little things that keep TSoc running. I know how to put together unforgettable events, tackle challenges, and create a welcoming space where everyone feels proud of their Tamil identity. Next year, I want to take TSoc even further—bigger events, more collaborations, and stronger community engagement. I’m committed to keeping our culture and language alive through interactive lessons, discussions, and awareness initiatives. TSoc isn’t just a side project for me—it’s my passion. With me as President, I’ll bring energy, dedication, and a clear vision to make next year our best yet!
