As part of the Sub-Committee, I have gained practical insights on the BTS of what is prepared and discussed in the lead up to events. I have contributed significantly at events such as Panithuli and the games night as well as engaging with Tsoc members, especially the freshers. Also, I have past leadership experience in organising and running fundraising events, raising over £20,000 in an academic year. I believe I would best suit this role due to my skills and experience in event management and also bescause of connections I have with Tsocs at other universities, which will benefit future possible collaborations. As part of next year’s committee I would be able to help UCL Tsoc stand out in the community with amazing events whilst also showcasing our incredible Tamil culture.
I’m standing for Head of Events because I want to bring exciting, engaging, and meaningful experiences to the Tamils Society.
Our culture is rich with traditions, music and food, and the events we run year on year showcase that. I wish to take this opportunity to take these events to the next level and introduce authentic ideas, really helping us stand out as a society across the Uk. Whether it is clubbing events, formals or simple games nights, I’ll ensure every event is well-planned, inclusive, and memorable. With my creativity, organization, and passion for our community, I’ll make sure our events bring people together and strengthen our society. Let’s make this year unforgettable!
