UCL TWSOC has always been my home away from home—a community filled with positivity and support. This year, I hope to give back by running for president.

Since Year 1, I’ve served as secretary and head of events, gaining strong organizational, collaboration, and leadership skills. As secretary, I streamlined communication and oversaw event timelines. As head of events, I designed meaningful experiences and led a team. These roles have equipped me to take on the presidency.

As president, I will focus on three key areas:

  1. Diversifying Events I aim to evolve TWSOC from a social society for Taiwanese students into a cultural society for all. While maintaining iconic social events, I will introduce more cultural experiences such as language lessons and crafting sessions. Career fairs and representative office visits will also provide insight for Taiwanese students pursuing careers in London.
  2. Creating a Platform  Beyond monthly events, I want TWSOC to be a continuous support system. By issuing informational posts and videos, we can reach more students and provide valuable guidance beyond in-person gatherings.
  3. Building Connections I will establish collaborations with Taiwanese businesses and tutoring platforms to offer career opportunities, internships, and academic support. Additionally, a UCL Taiwanese alumni network will help students build meaningful connections in London.

With these initiatives, I hope to make TWSOC a welcoming, supportive, and resourceful community for all.
