Hi everyone! I’m Rachel and I’d love to be your Surgical Society Vice President next year! As iNUGSC 2025’s International Communications Officer, I’ve been the primary point of contact for delegates and universities, collaborating with and gaining insight into various committee roles through promotional work and handling inquiries. I understand what effective communication requires: listening, understanding, and adapting to better serve people’s needs.

I aim to expand opportunities, streamline communication, and bring fresh ideas by fostering a collaborative spirit.

I promise to:

  • Organise innovative workshops and expand SurgSoc’s inventory so members enjoy a broader range of resources
  • Strengthen collaborations between UCL SurgSoc and other SurgSocs while enhancing promotional efforts for more student opportunities
  • Bridge the gap between SurgSoc and iNUGSC by introducing an iNUGSC workshop advisory panel for subcommittee involvement
  • Ensure clear understanding and division of role responsibilities so all aspects are accounted for

I’m fully committed to making SurgSoc the best it can be, as I’m dedicating my time solely to this role next year in the wider med community. Having been Anatomy Society’s Treasurer and S&P Club’s Events Coordinator, I bring a strong mix of leadership, strategic planning and problem-solving experiences and skills – crucial for overseeing SurgSoc and iNUGSC’s operations.

Please vote for me, and let’s make next year exciting and opportunity-filled!
