Hi, I’m Fahm, and I would love to be your next President! As Neurosurgery Chair, I led transformative initiatives, achieving unprecedented milestones this year.

Achievements:

• Led UK’s largest student-led conference, INNC 2025 (~300 attendees from 14+ countries, 16 workshops) & designed 2 novel workshops
• Received first-ever international Brain grant, secured 20+ sponsors, raising 14,000£
• Designed & launched teaching series with MedSoc, ENT, OMFS & Anatomy Society
• Organised networking/portfolio-building events with WINS & Academic Surgery

With experience in education, finance, events & innovation, my vision involves:

Restructure & Strengthen:

• More for Members: affordable events & maximised value for money
• Financial transparency, offering seed funds to all chairs & grants for exciting initiatives. Increase VP & Chair involvement in decision-making
• Commission a Chair report to enhance subcommittee initiatives & avoid recurring challenges

Empower & Integrate:

• Revamp events/finance resources & expand sponsorship networks for Chairs. Establish first-ever advisory panel for specialty guidance
• Run accredited workshop/simulation series for hands-on development

Collaborate & Innovate:

• Foster cross-society collaboration (tutorials/mocks) & forge national/international partnerships for workshops & events
• Reintroduce Takeovers for engagement & Gala Dinner as flagship event
