STS Lunar Society: President

Hi everyone,

I’m Louis, current President of the STS Lunar Society. Following the reestablishment of our society this year, we’ve achieved so much. My mission next year is to build on this incredible momentum.

I love STS, and I love the STS community even more.

Reflecting on this year's achievements, from a hugely successful welcome fair that introduced STS to students across UCL, to our packed weekly academic sessions, interactive socials like our signature Lunar New Year party, and insightful speaker events featuring renowned scholars, including those from the Royal Society -- we’ve built something truly special. I’ve seen firsthand how these initiatives and my team have made measurable impacts in bringing the STS community closer and amplifying our voice across UCL.

Next year, I want to take this further. I aim to expand STS’s reach within our community and beyond. Before I graduate, I want to ensure the society reaches its full potential and leaves a lasting legacy for future STS students.

I plan to focus on:

• More collaborations with relevant societies
• Better, more engaging socials
• Events more tailored to STS students’ needs
• Stronger marketing and outreach
• Scaling up everything we do
