Naomi De Gruchy

I have been a member of Street Aid society for the last two years and have really enjoyed taking part in the outreach sessions, getting to meet different people through the society and making an impact on our local community. I was Community Outreach Officer for this current academic year and really enjoyed the responsibility of organising the sessions and working with the rest of the committee. I am therefore familiar with the responsibilities and role of the Outreach Officer and would love to continue in this position next year.

Tiffany Fu

I’m Tiffany, a first-year History student, and I’m running to be your Outreach Officer! UCL Street Aid Society was one of the first societies I joined as a fresher and I’ve found comfort within the small but tight-knit, loving community here, where everyone shares a common goal of combating homelessness and the joys of helping the needy and seeing a smile from a service target :) By being part of the committee, I hope to champion even more impact and spread more awareness to actively drive change.

As Outreach Officer, I hope to organise and plan even more outreach sessions in the upcoming year, as well as diversify and introduce more accessible forms of food, drink and necessities to our service targets. I also hope to expand the scope of our work by connecting with various charity organisations combating homelessness. Do vote for me and I would love to see all of you at our upcoming outreach sessions!

Julia Nardi Roquette

I have been actively involved in UCL Street Aid Society, attending outreach programs, where I have handed out food and essential resources firsthand, as well as fundraising initiatives like bake sales. Through these experiences, I have seen both the immediate impact of our work and the potential for further expansion in tackling homelessness.

As a BSc Global Humanitarian Studies student, my academic focus directly aligns with Street Aid’s mission. My studies have allowed me to explore the systemic causes of homelessness, the role of policy in addressing housing insecurity, and the effectiveness of grassroots initiatives. With this background, I have developed the research, outreach, and advocacy skills necessary to strengthen and expand our society’s work.

As Outreach Officer, I aim to broaden Street Aid’s reach by forming regional and international connections with organizations addressing homelessness on both a local and global scale. I plan to build new partnerships with shelters, advocacy groups, and community initiatives to enhance our impact. In addition, I would work to expand volunteer opportunities, ensuring members can engage with a variety of long-term, sustainable projects, alongside our core first-hand, in-person donations.

By combining local action with strategic outreach, I want to scale up our efforts while maintaining the society’s hands-on approach. I am committed to making Street Aid a stronger, more connected force for change at UCL and beyond.
