Olivia Kenyon

To my beloved Space Society members,

After serving as your Secretary this year, I’d love to continue building on the incredible legacy left by Shourya, Ehi, and Hubert—and hopefully not trip over their very large shoes. Over the past two years, I’ve been an active member—first as an enthusiastic attendee, then in the committee, helping to plan the amazing events that bring us together. It’s been a blast (pun intended)!

I’m officially campaigning to be your Space Society President for 2025/26! Having seen the society’s inner workings as both a member and Secretary, I feel well-prepared to steer us through another fantastic year. I have leadership experience as head of an Autism Awareness & Acceptance initiative at my secondary school, where I managed a team of 40 across three sub-divisions. If I can keep that (space)ship running smoothly, I can handle this one!

Now, I know what you’re thinking: "Olivia, you study Biomedical Sciences, not Physics or Astro—why space society?" But just because I don’t calculate planetary orbits for fun (yet) doesn’t mean I’m any less passionate about space. This society has been a huge part of my university life, and I want to ensure it continues to thrive as the fun, welcoming community we all love.

So, if you want a president who’s passionate and always ready with a space pun—vote Olivia for President!

Yours truly,
Olivia (Space Baddie) Kenyon

P.S. Vote for my good friends Ryan and Seb for comms and events officers!

Aarona Sarkar

I've been passionate about space for as long as I can remember. Following space missions, exploring breathtaking images from NASA, and observing the universe through telescopes are more than just hobbies - they are a core part of who I am. My love for space is what led me to study astrophysics at UCL, and it’s what drives me to share this fascination with others.

I believe space is a topic that deserves more attention, and as President, I want to make Space Society an even more of an exciting, welcoming, and engaging place for everyone - whether you are a lifelong enthusiast or just beginning to explore the cosmos. I plan to organise interactive events, inspiring talks, and hands-on experiences that bring the wonders of space closer to all students.

A society is only as strong as the passion driving it. The committee this year has done an amazing job, and I am eager to build upon that momentum. With my dedication, enthusiasm, and clear vision for the future, I am ready to elevate the Space Society to new heights. Vote for me, and let’s make the universe feel a little closer, together.
