I have experience as Treasurer for my year group in the summer show, where I was responsible for budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial transparency and would like to help out with managing finances in SEAD.

Simon Kim

My journey at UCL hasn’t been entirely straightforward. I had to take an interruption in the middle of my second year, and I’ve only just returned this January to resume my studies. Coming back, I’ve realised how important it is to be part of a strong student community, and that’s what SEAD provides.
I wasn’t actively involved in SEAD during my first two years, but now, I fully appreciate the role it plays in bringing students together, providing opportunities, and bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience. That’s why I’m stepping forward—to contribute, to give back, and to help make SEAD as beneficial as possible for all of us.
I bring a mix of strategic thinking, financial awareness, and hands-on experience that would allow me to make a real impact. I’ve worked on group design project leaders in the past 2 years and architectural firm internships as a member of Finance / Project Management Faculty last summer. So I know what it takes to handle responsibility and get things done efficiently. Whether it’s securing funding, organising exciting projects, or making sure our society is running smoothly, I’m ready to step up.
Above all, I want to make sure SEAD is a society where everyone feels encouraged to contribute, learn, and create. If you want someone who is organised, forward-thinking, and genuinely invested in the future of SEAD, then I’d love your support.
