Soap Opera Society: President

Hey guys! My name is Danilo and I am running to be your president again! I founded the society back in 2023 and I care about it deeply and would love to continue my role. Next year, I want to continue running fun socials and soap opera screenings. One of my biggest priorities next year will be increasing the visibility of the society to secure more members and get more people interested in the amazing world of soap operas! I want to also expand the society's interests into dramas and television similar to soap operas, such as "Waterloo Road", "Pretty Little Liars" and other TV series, and also to have more screenings and discussions of soap operas from around the world in collaboration with different societies and networks. I would also like to bring in guest speakers from actors, producers and other crew members of soap operas and to organise activities outside of UCL, such as a visit to the Emmerdale set for a tour, and also organise charity fundraisers and awareness weeks. But most importantly, I want to organise fun socials (including welfare socials) to help members enjoy their time at UCL and make new friends, and that will be my main priority. In addition to my huge passion, love and knowledge for soap operas, I also am very hardworking and have a lot of experience in running societies and events, and thus I strongly believe that I will excel in the role.
