I am applying for the role of Trip Secretary, and I promise to bring the level of precision to this role as I do to my parallel turns (which, admittedly, are still a work in progress). My qualifications? I’ve mastered the art of convincing people to do things they are unsure of and get people out of their rooms. And I’m ready to test these skills further in the role of trip secretary which is a responsibility I would take as seriously as I take apres-ski.
I may not be able to do a black run yet ('work in progress' I've said for at least 2 years now), but thrive on the safety of the blue slope or a mogul-free red. Similarly, I’ll work closely with the committee to ensure that the society runs as smooth as possible in all areas which I have the ability to contribute and try to learn to help in areas I would be less comfortable in.

Organising a snow sports trip I can only imagine is like trying to ski in a whiteout—you know where you’re going, but no one else does. With regards to presenting the information for the trips to attenders, I know no one wants to sit through a 45-minute presentation about coach times and packing lists. The presentations will be concise, to the point, and delivered with the efficiency of someone who’s racing to catch the last lift of the day. Let’s be honest, the trip isn’t just about the skiing—it’s about the après-ski. I’ll ensure that all promotional content includes all the essential apres details

To conclude... Trip will be good

Regards, AK
