Election post
Hi everyone!
I'm Rachel, and I've been with the Snooker & Pool Society for 2 years, currently serving as the Events Coordinator. Even though I'm still learning the ropes of the sport, I’ve truly enjoyed the warm, welcoming atmosphere here - I love this society! This is why I have decided to run for the role of Social Media Manager this year, hoping that my experience in marketing and promotion could contribute to the society, helping members gain a clearer idea of what our society does and what our society has planned for the year!
I’ve noticed that navigating our WhatsApp groups can be a bit overwhelming at times, making it easy to overlook announcements — especially since our Instagram hasn’t been updated since November. The WhatsApp community function can be useful in its own ways, and I would love to keep it. However, if I get elected as the Social Media Manager, I promise to also:
- Keep our Instagram up-to-date with clear posts about our plans
- Post story reminders whenever there is an upcoming session
- Make it easy for everyone to contact the committee, whether through WhatsApp or Instagram
- Work closely with the committee and continue supporting society events
I have enjoyed working with committee this year and am committed to fostering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Thank you for considering me!
