Community has always been important to me. As someone who came from a school where not many students choose to study abroad, the transition to London was very daunting. But the UCL Singapore Society soon became my anchor, allowing me to discover a sense of home in this foreign land. I found amazing friends in SingSoc who made London feel like home, and I would want to ensure future members have the same love and support I've had. That's why I'm running—to give back to a society that has given so much to me and to continue building a tight-knit, welcoming community for all Singaporeans at UCL.
I bring a great personality and strong leadership qualities to the role. I am warm, welcoming, and an excellent team player. Being a good communicator, I listen and ensure that each voice is heard. The most important thing, I believe, is that SingSoc is more than a society, it is a family. What makes this society brilliant is the people, and I would like to ensure that each and every member feels valued, involved, and supported. In a city as large and as cosmopolitan as London, it is essential to have a home away from home, and I am committed to making SingSoc that home for all of us.
SingSoc is not only a society but a family, a home, and a community where we encourage and support one another. As Vice-President, I pledge to work towards making every member feel included, heard, and connected. Let's make SingSoc an even stronger and more vibrant community!
