Election post

To me, the heart of good publicity lies in the people that are a part of it. Not the number of Canva pro free trial accounts created, not the number of reels churned out, not the bombastic emojis in every caption (though a few couldn’t hurt), but the people that publicity reaches, and the people who are featured in every post, video, and story. If elected as communications director, I hope to make Singsoc’s publicity even more people-centric, creating more posts that feature you and your friends, which will serve the dual purpose of reaching out to the rest of the society and making our publicity vibrant, while documenting some of our best moments as a community. I have experience with designing posts and have a good eye for aesthetics and detail, I am way too chronically online and I have a camera. This means that every post that goes up on our Instagram will be crafted to (what I hope is at least close to) perfection, I’ll always be updated on the latest trends and what other societies are up to especially in terms of publicity, and you can be sure to have good pictures for our Instagram, and for yourselves, of course. On the welfare side of things, I’m a good team player and I love talking to people, and I’d love to be in charge of proposing new welfare activities and being a listening ear. If you’ve read till the end, thank you, and if you just skipped to the bottom, I will try to make sure the captions on our Instagram are less boring than this manifesto, don’t worry.
