School of European Languages and Culture Society (SELCS): President

Hey everyone! My name is Danilo and I am applying to be the president of SELCS Society again! I have been president this year and have really loved it and have tried to make it a warm, welcoming and fun place with lots of fun events (such as Kahoots, Speed-Friendings, Pizza Nights and more) so that members can meet each other and make friends and enjoy their time at UCL. This will remain my priority next year, but I also want to help expand the society’s outreach so that more people join (both in and outside the SELCS department) and enjoy the society and meet others – I will do this by collabing with more societies, universities and networks and working more with the SELCS department to organise events with the staff too. I also want to organise monthly talks from both UCL staff and external guest speakers in order to enrich students’ studies, and to take feedback from students in order to ensure that the society is the very best it can be for them. I am a very hardworking, passionate and reliable committee member with a lot of experience and connections with other UCL groups and I believe that I will help the society flourish and expand.
