Osman Jabbie

Hi Everyone,

I’m Osman Jabbie, a first-year Social Sciences student, and I’m running for Welfare Officer. My passion for real estate comes from my experience at Savills, where I saw how teamwork and a positive work culture help people thrive. I believe a society should be welcoming, supportive, and inclusive. University can be overwhelming, and I want to ensure every member feels comfortable, whether attending events, networking, or simply looking to connect.

If elected, I will commit to:

  • Wellbeing and Support Initiatives – Ensuring members have access to wellbeing resources and a safe space to discuss concerns.
  • Inclusive Socials and Networking – Organising events that encourage participation from all backgrounds.
  • Being Approachable and Available – Acting as a point of contact for students, whether for career guidance, society involvement, or general support.

Why Me?

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys bringing people together and making sure no one feels left out. During my gap year, I worked in property management, where I learned how to listen, communicate effectively, and help people resolve problems. I’ve also volunteered at a care home, supporting residents with daily activities and encouraging social interaction, which reinforced the importance of creating a safe and supportive community.

Thank you for reading my manifesto. I’d love the opportunity to contribute to the society, so vote for Osman as your next Welfare Officer!

Nerissa Ng

UCL Real Estate, while small, is more than just a society—it’s a community. As a Welfare Officer, my priority is to ensure that every member feels supported, valued, and empowered. I am passionate about fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can personally and professionally thrive.

One of my key initiatives will be to enhance student real estate specialities through career mentoring and networking opportunities to help members navigate both academic and professional challenges.

I will also introduce more social and bonding events to create a stronger sense of community within UCL Real Estate, ensuring that our members build lasting connections while developing their passion for the industry. One of the initiatives I have is a monthly social.

Additionally, I aim to work closely with sponsors and industry professionals to provide students with valuable resources, workshops, and career guidance that promote both professional and personal growth.

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to a more inclusive, supportive, and dynamic UCL Real Estate Society, and I hope to earn your support and vote!
