Kyan Foo

Hi, my name is Kyan! I'm from Singapore, a country most of you associate with Max Zeng, the geography wizard from the Imperial UC team. While I'm definitely not as proficient as him at identifying places from a map, the passion for quizzes and trivia is definitely the same. Coming from Asia, I might not have the background in quizzing from a young age, however recently I have picked up the interest like a fish jumping into water for the first time. I've participated in Quiz Society's inaugural standalone quiz, as well as being a regular watcher of University Challenge!

There's no better feeling than hearing your own question in one of Quiz Society's events. I might be interested in history, classical music, and football, but a quiz simply on these three topics wouldn't be quite that engaging for everyone, right? Therefore, I want your input. As Questionmaster-in-chief, I hope to not only set interesting questions for you all, but also to learn about the different interests you all have to increase the variety of questions at future quizzes. Once I'm elected, send me your best trivia questions or facts, and hopefully I'll be able to put them in.

I also want to devise themed quizzes or different formats, to draw in a wider community to share our love for friendly competition through quizzes. I hope you would give me a chance, and I hope to meet you all at future events!

Emmanuel Campion-Dye

I've tried out for University Challenge a few times before, and have always enjoyed writing questions to help in practices - I now have a bank of hundreds of them! I like the challenge of writing fun, creative questions that push the audience to use what they know in new ways. Plus, it's a good way to keep myself engaged with a wide variety of topics that I no longer have direct incentives to study.

A quiz is only as good as its questions. The question is, will you vote for me?
