Hi! I’m Hermione, a second-year English student, and I served as the External Events Officer for the society this year.

Having been involved closely in the committee, I’ve hosted my own workshops, facilitated other people’s skill-sharing sessions, and helped organise our annual inter-university public speaking competition.

If elected, I’d love to achieve the following things:

  • Support the President in pioneering new ideas
  • Make our inter-university competition even bigger and better
  • Host more speaker events
  • Increase participation and engagement in our society

Public Speaking Society has played such a crucial part in finding myself and improving my confidence. I hope it’ll do the same for many others!
