My name is Azarya, and I’m excited to be your next Welfare Officer.
A bit about me—I’m a first-year Computer Science student, I’m Indonesian, and I’m a regular despite not having played much poker before uni.
Poker is great, I love coming every Friday, but there’s always room for more.
My vision is to make Poker Society more accessible and well-known. I’ve brought people who had never played poker before and turned them into regulars. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, I want everyone to feel welcome. We have room to grow and make Poker Soc less intimidating to newcomers.
Beyond tournaments, I’d love to explore the possibility of poker-related activities, such as workshops, guest speakers, or strategy sessions to help players improve and build a stronger community. I also believe we can expand Poker Soc to new audiences through partnerships; bringing fresh opportunities and exclusive events, to encourage more people to join.
I also want to make the game more exciting by listening to your ideas. Beyond weekly tournaments, I’ll push for more special formats if there’s interest, not just bounty tournaments. We could do mystery bounty, different variants, and more unique ways to play and win money. But if you believe everything is perfect the way it’s, then you can vote for no changes.
Above all, I’m passionate about poker and if elected, I’m committed to making Poker Soc better for everyone. Vote for me, and let’s make this happen.
