What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

As a person of color and an international student, I aim to accurately and wholly represent the student body at UCL, voicing my own concerns and theirs. As a former member of my school student council, I take pride in having an impactful assisting role to faculty and I aim to carry out this role effectively to the best of my ability. I aim to make the best out of my time at university and representing the POC network at an institution as fine as UCL would be an honour.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been an active member of my school student council for nearly 3 years of my academic life and have been nominated for Head Girl twice. I have been known to be an attentive listener and I aim to carry this on into my role as secretary. Furthermore, internships and volunteer programs I have participated in as well as led have given me the valuable experiences of teamwork and empathy. I believe there is no better area to utilise these skills in than in the POC network, which stands for equality and understanding.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Voting for me would equate a qualified person being in a crucial position within the network. As the secretary to the POC Network, I vow to listen attentively, perform to the best of my capability and deliver results beyond expectations. My commitment to this position will be unparalleled and while I cannot guarantee that there is no candidate better than me, I can say that I may be one of the most loyal ones to this cause.
