I was a founding member of Piano Soc last year, and there are so many events I am yet to create as a society, including public concert, more collab, etc. Just by focusing on Events as Secretary/Events Director, I will endeavor to achieve those events, thereby expanding the potential of the society as a whole.
I am excited to nominate myself for the role of secretary for the upcoming term. As someone who is deeply passionate about music and dedicated to fostering a welcoming and well-organized community, I believe I am well-suited to take on this role.
Having been actively involved in the piano society, I understand the importance of smooth communication, efficient event planning, and keeping everything running behind the scenes. This term, we have had some amazing socials arranged for society members, some practice room booking for pianist to practice freely; great idea of piano lessons and socials with other societies etc. I would love to keep arranging these next year if not some more exciting events for our pianists.
If elected, I will:
1. Ensure that meeting minutes, emails, and schedules are well-organized and accessible.
2. Help coordinate practices, concerts, and social events with precision and efficiency.
3. Maintain smooth communication between the committee and members, ensuring everyone stays informed and engaged.
Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I would love the opportunity to contribute to this society that brings together fellow piano enthusiasts. I am dedicated, detail-oriented, and ready to help make this year an incredible one for the UCL Piano Society!
