Aimilia Konialidis

Hi! My name is Aimilia and I'm a 2nd year Medical Innovation and Enterprise student. Photography has been a long-time passion of mine, allowing me to capture the world from my own perspective while connecting with others. As an active member of the society, I have so enjoyed socialising with other photographers at events, exchanging tips and learning from others. My leadership experiences as Chief-Editor of my high-school newspaper and Education Officer of UCL’s Academic Surgical Society have given me a strong foundation in creative direction, project/people management and communication - essential skills for a Vice-President. Furthermore, my involvement in societies, like the Greek & Hellenic Society and MedTech Society, has strengthened my ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people as well as organise events. In this role, my main focus would be working with the team to expand the society’s outreach by continuing themed photowalks and socials, workshops and collaborations with other societies. I would love to expand the Photography Society’s magazine, collaborate with the Film & TV Society on photography for a film and connect photographers/videographers from our society with people needing creative services. With my organisational skills, combined with my ability to both lead and work within a team, I’ll ensure that the Photography Society continues to thrive as a fun, welcoming and exciting society where creativity and technical interests come together.
