Hello I'm Sherman, a first-year student studying architecture at The Bartlett. I am runnin for the role of a magazine editor as I am passionate about photography as a way of storytelling and my design abilities. Photography has been my favourite hobby since my childhood and I have extended it into my A-level and other personal side projects. I am also experienced in magazine editing and designing. I was in charge of photography, designing and editing the two issues of my previous college's student magazine, which both got nominated and won six national awards from Shine School Media Awards, one of the UK's most prestigious publishing awards, including best print and design. With a keen eye for detail and the ability to collaborate in a team, I believe I have what it takes to take up this position. A magazine should represents all its authors as a collective, and If given this opportunity, I will ensure that it becomes a source of inspiration and pride for all the members. I would be honoured to take on this role and contribute to the society in a meaningful way. I appreciate your time and consideration, and I look forward to the opportunity to support and showcase the incredible talent within our very own photography community in UCL.

As the current magazine editor, I put together Wide Angle T2 2025 edition, with the next one set to publish in T3 2025. I am running again as I hope to continue creating and curating magazines for Photo Soc to showcase as many of our works as possible. Do drop me a vote! Thank you:DD

I am excited to apply for the role of magazine editor for PhotoSoc at UCL. With a background in editorial work, design and photography, I believe I can bring fresh I deas to the publication.

The thing I would love to bring the most to the magazine is engagement with professionals in the field. I see interviews as a great way for members to gain insight into professional projects and techniques.

I would also like the magazine to serve as a way to document the various events of the society, from photowalks to talks. It can also be used to showcase the works of the society's members. The magazine can act as an archive and a source of inspiration to the society members.

My experiences in editorial started in my school's magazine. I also worked on entries to various photography publications in New Zealand where I grew up. I am also a capable videographer, currently directing a short film. These, alongside my study of architecture and design, has given me a strong sense of composition and presentation required to be an editor in the magazine.
