Last year , I enjoyed running my pupil pastoral forum where we look for ways to improve inclusivity in 9 main aspects of the school: Racial Diversity; Environment; Charity; Mental Health; Digital; Neurodiversity; Health; LGBTQIA+ and Gender. I'd use these ideas to inspire new initiatives like regular posts for national days; awareness weeks; and different religious holidays. I'd also look at ways to make sports night more accessible and introduce more drop-in sessions for anyone struggling to juggle everything - because netball should fit around life, not the other way round! I would particularly focus on running workshops with first years in their first term to help them settle in and help them genuinely enjoy being part of the team earlier on! Whether it's keeping teams intact; organising inclusive socials or just being there for a good yap session, I want to create a space where everyone feels valued and included!

I've been so grateful for the welcoming and inclusive environment of RUMS Netball, and  I'd love to put my efforts into continuing that for another year. I want to ensure everyone in the club feels supported and heard, by encouraging frequent feedback opportunities and promoting positive behaviour. I'm eager to organise welfare socials, involving non-drinking activities, to allow further opportunities for members to enjoy themselves and build friendships within the club. As a friendly, organised and approachable person, I hope I'll be a great welfare officer!
