Hey everyone, my name is Alfonso, I'm a second-year History student who plays the Cello in symphony and string orchestra, as well as some organ and piano on the side. I'm excited to put myself forward for the role of symphony orchestra manager. Since next year will be my last at UCL, I want to make it count by giving back to the society that has made my university life so much more vibrant. Symphony orchestra has been a particularly fun time because of how varied its concerts (and biscuits) are. I'm already quite familiar with the logistics behind the ensemble, so I'd love to continue the great work that the managers have done so far, while also bringing my own contributions to the table.
Speaking of which, one of my goals for next year is reviving the orchestra's media presence by bringing back its own Instagram page: I definitely think it's a shame that we don't fully share all the fun things we do as an ensemble throughout the year. Another thing that I'd look into is new stands, which hopefully won't disappear this time!
If you want someone to carry the timpani and pub socials, look no further: vote for me!

Hi!
I am Ricky from Mathematics department in year 2
As a member of the symphony orchestra for the past 2 years, I have taken lots of rehearsals and the concerts, and also the UCOpera in last year.Every time I tried my best to help the manger for moving the stands, to set up the chairs, or to take the drum from the campus to the performance church and so on, since I think that’s the things I should do as a member. Now, I have accumulated many experiences and got an overview about what to do, how to do and when to do before and after a rehearsal and performance, and I am very confident to do it well.
The main reason for me to nominate is that I really want to do something for the music society, and it is also a very good way for me to practice myself. Whether successful or not, I am very happy to continue to try my best efforts to help us.
Thanks!
