Music Society: Opera Producer

Hi! I’m Aryanna, a second year Environmental Geoscience student and I’d love to be your opera producer next year!

In my first year, I managed costumes and was a soprano in the chorus. This gave me the opportunity to work alongside the producers, director and designer to gain valuable insight into both onstage and backstage production. I have a similar role this year, but am increasingly involved in the design and props aspect. This experience, paired with my exceptional organisational and time-management skills would make me the ideal candidate to manage and produce next year's opera.

I want to promise you that, if elected, I would make sure that I begin working on organising the opera from the summer break, guaranteeing things run smoothly from the start of the year through until the start of production. Above all, I’m keen to put together a co-committee early in the year to get more people involved in the production! 

UCOpera is definitely the highlight of my academic year and I would be honoured to take on the challenge of producing it.
