Museums Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone! I'm Rachel, a second-year Psychology student from Hong Kong, and I would love to be your Treasurer for the Museums Society next year! :)

As your current Secretary, I’ve gained valuable experience working with the Museums Society committee, supporting event planning, and developing a basic understanding of how the society operates. This experience has shown me the importance of balancing finances while ensuring our events are engaging and accessible.

If elected as Treasurer, I will focus on:

• Ensuring financial stability so we can organise more museum and exhibition visits for our members.
• Securing group discounts on tickets to make trips more affordable.
• Maintaining responsible budgeting, so events (including guided tours) are well-organised and financially sustainable.
• Maximising the value of memberships, ensuring members benefit from not just visits but also socials like movie nights and other engaging activities.

I’m excited to contribute to the Museums Society by creating enriching and memorable experiences for our members. I look forward to securing deals that make museum visits and events more accessible!
