Grace Yeung

Hi everyone!

My name is Grace, and I'm really excited to be running for PR sec this year! I'm a second-year English student who has been part of UCLMT for two years now, and I'm really eager to give back to such a friendly and welcoming community.

You've probably seen me helping out at UFN and QOTR, filming content for the @uclmuaythai instagram page. If elected as PR Sec, I will continue to help showcase our club members and fighters through quality videography and editing, and also implement the following ideas:

  1. Regular training and sparring video content. This will be edited and posted on @uclmuaythai to showcase everyone's talent, as well as distributed individually (unedited) in order for members to keep a visual track of their progression, skill, and technique.
  2. Regular training demonstration/tutorial reels. These videos will be uploaded onto @uclmuaythai and will showcase skill and technique demonstrations in order for Muay Thai to be accessible to anyone, from anywhere. It can be intimidating to ask for help during training sessions - these tutorials will ensure that you can learn and practice at home or in a safe space if needed!

I hope to be able to help the committee through my creative contributions!! Thank you for your consideration! <3

Alison Chang

As a serial stalker, I stand for more Muay Thai Instagram story posts so there is more material for the fans to obsess over. I attend 99% of socials as well as training sessions so expect more comprehensive coverage on the behind-the-scenes of those if I am voted PR sec! I hope this way newcomers can find out more about what goes on during our sessions and feel empowered to attend. I'd love to give back to the wider Muay Thai community as a newcomer this year myself, as this society has given me so much and I would have likely not joined had it not been for last year's amazing public relations work.

You can be sure the IG will remain just as aesthetic. I have plenty of experience creating graphics and editing videos, having created posts for Dear Asian Youth, and currently running a newsletter (check out @mind_the_snack)! I'll be using Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva Pro, my ancient iPad and Apple pencil to doodle and occasionally take my Sony camera out of retirement to get some high-quality pictures you'll be happy to repost x

As I'm only going into second year, I'll have a lot of time on my hands to craft up some Muay Thai media magic. As an organised, time-efficient multi-tasker who works best to a deadline, you can rely on me!! Pls vote you won't regret it :)
