Muay Thai Club: External Relations Secretary

whassup muay thai ive still got gas in the tank and am back for round 3 🔥🔥

in case you dont know me, im lorenzo and have been your external relations sec for the past 2 years. i had joined the society (and committee) last school year having no prior martial arts background and very quickly found myself getting attached to the sport and the people involved. i love the community and culture we’ve built and it would be a privilege to stay involved :)

as external relations ive previously had to: 

• secure our first ever society sponsor LEAPFROGTV🤩 (after contacting 100 other companies–its rough out there 💀)
• find campaign/event specific sponsors eg this girl can, stem4, sport in mind
• be responsible for the correspondence with merch suppliers 

its not a particularly flashy role, but the external relations role is one that supports the society behind the scenes and makes our already strong society even stronger 💪 some hopes i have for next year to fulfill this role include: 

• putting a greater emphasis on working with the welfare sec to collab with local charities and use our outreach for fundraising efforts (jannelle put me on this icl)
• expand on a tiered sponsorship system to attract a larger number of sponsors with varying involvement with our society
• have more involvement with and streamline the merch design and supply process (+ GET SOCIETY SHORTS!!) 

anyway thanks for reading, main takeaway: id love to be the one to find the cherry on tops for our already sweet society :)
