Mexican Society: Welfare Officer

As a candidate for the Welfare Officer of the Mexican Society, I am committed to nurturing a supportive and welcoming environment that prioritizes the wellbeing of all our members. Understanding the importance of mental and emotional health, especially within the university setting, I will diligently maintain and regularly check our anonymous welfare support form to ensure that everyone’s concerns and needs are addressed confidentially and effectively.

I plan to organize events focused on wellbeing, such as welfare drop-ins and informal chats, where members can feel safe to express their thoughts and concerns. Additionally, I will actively engage in community outreach and campaigns that promote the welfare of our members, ensuring that we are not only addressing issues but also preventing them.

As your Welfare Officer, I will make myself a known and approachable figure within the society. I will regularly attend socials and other gatherings to actively engage with you all, ensuring that each member feels heard and supported. My goal is to foster an environment where every member of the Mexican Society feels valued and empowered to enjoy their university experience to the fullest.
