Malayali Society: Social Secretary

As a first-year representative, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is to create spaces where students feel they belong, not just academically or culturally but also socially. I’ve been fortunate enough to help organise events and see how much it means to bring our community together. It's been such a rewarding experience, and I’d love to continue this journey as Social Secretary. 

This role is particularly close to my heart since it directly impacts the everyday experience and engagement of our members. The Social Secretary is responsible for curating the social experiences that unite people, foster friendships, and make our society a vibrant and welcoming space.

As Social Secretary, I am excited to take a more active role in planning and organising events that bring people closer together. My vision for this role is to not only plan fun and engaging social events but to also ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, feels welcomed and valued. I’m passionate about creating a space where everyone feels included and connected, whether you're Malayali or not, and making our society feel like a second home. I will ensure that everyone gets involved, shares experiences, and celebrates the diversity that makes our society so special.

I am excited to use my creativity and passion for social engagement to create a vibrant calendar of events that will strengthen the bonds within our community. I can’t wait to work with all of you to make this vision a reality!
