Election post
Hey everyone! I’m Arthur.
As a history undergraduate, I understand that breaking into the legal sector can be a challenging and at times, overwhelming prospect for non-law students. That’s why I’m running for Law for All Events Officer: to create opportunities that not only help you navigate your career successfully but also find a supportive community, that eases any concerns and empowers you.
Why Vote for Me?
•Event Organisation Experience – I’ve organised innovative events for formal and informal occasions, including a charity football tournament that raised nearly £250.
•Industry Links – As a Commercial Law Academy ambassador, I can leverage my network to expand LFA’s reach. I also have connections with the Law Society’s committee, seeking stronger collaborations.
•Application Success & Career Support – Having secured a first-year scheme with a Silver Circle firm, I understand the commercial law application process well. I’ll provide targeted workshops on this, including on assessment centre exercises, like negotiation, and on interviews, introducing a ‘buddy’ interview system.
•Commitment to Inclusivity – I know of commuter LFA members, so I will push for more virtual events to ensure everyone can participate, regardless of location or financial constraints. I will also, of course, ensure that Bar-focused events remain a key part of LFA and more Pro Bono initiatives are ran.
Thank you for your consideration!
