As a dedicated and ambitious History student with a strong interest in commercial law, I am standing as an Events Officer to leverage my experience in legal competitions, commercial awareness and social mobility initiatives to create engaging and impactful events for aspiring lawyers in the Law for All Society. Having won the BCL Criminal Law Essay Competition and recently participated in the CMS-UCL Commercial Awareness Competition, I have developed a keen understanding of the skills necessary to succeed in the legal profession and am eager to share this with my peers. Furthermore, my recent successful applications for first-year schemes at top law firms such as Macfarlanes has directly provided me with insight into what leading firms seek in candidates, knowledge I aim to translate into events that equip students with practical skills and networking opportunities. Through my strong organisational skills, evidenced through balancing academic success and part-time work in the past, makes me well-suited to coordinating events effectively. As an Events Officer, I would proactively seek to bring law firms and chambers to the doorstep of the Law for All Society, helping and aiding access to the legal profession for all.
