Election post
As the current president, I see myself as the ideal candidate for such a prestigious position. I have come into the role completely naïve, learning the job as I went along, yet have almost doubled membership, increased our supply off kit, have made us more prominent in the social climate and overall made us a better society. If this is me one year in, imagine me two years in. There is nothing we will not be able to achieve.
But less about how I am the beating heart of this incredible society. I know that most men, including those at ease with problems of the greatest complexity, can seldom accept that even the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have delighted in explaining to colleagues, which they have proudly taught to others and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabric of their lives. Tolstoy was quite right in this, and I would urge you to accept the simple and obvious truth that I am not only the present, but the future of UCL lacrosse.
What more can I bring to the table?! Haven't I accomplished more than the layperson's wildest dreams?? Indeed, yet I strive for more. We need new playing kit for the starting lineup, even more sticks for more freshers next year, and some new gloves to protect Luis' thumb.
