Dear Voters,

I'm Robert, a second year history student (though I should be in third year, its a long story). I have been a part of UCL Labour for two years now and have greatly enjoyed the vibrant discourse it has fostered, particularly with the Pints & Policy debates alongside some fantastic speakers events.

I'm standing for this position as I wish to see the Labour Society continue moving on an upward trajectory. In my capacity as treasurer I'll make sure to keep the finances in order, thereby allowing the society to hold more socials, speaker events and workshops (amongst other activities).

The UCL Labour Society must also become the home of left-wing discourse, discussion and debate on campus, fostering a broad church of opinions, voices and concerns. As treasurer I will make sure our finances allow this to happen

Additionally, sound finances are key to our association with other university labour societies across London and the nation at large; I will do all I can as treasurer to continue the brilliant cross-university events that have been the so core to the society over the past few years.

Neil Kinnock has also given me an endorsement - see the photo for proof.

Cheers,

Robert Delaney
