Hey, I’m Sam Schajer
I’m running for Welfare Officer because I want to make Jewish life at UCL as fun as dancing to Moshiach, Moshiach, Moshiach at a Jewish simcha.
Why vote for me:
- I’ll set up a chicken soup delivery service for when you’re ill. (Along with a healthy dose of concern, because deep down, we all have a little Jewish mother in us).
- I’ll help you find your people at JSOC, whether that’s a new best friend, a Shabbat dinner crew, or just someone to split a bagel with. (Because let’s be honest, some bagels are just too big to tackle alone.)
- I’ll make it a priority to continue tackling antisemitism head-on and providing unwavering support for Jewish students at UCL. You should never feel alone or unsafe, and I’m committed to making sure we’re all heard and protected.
Why I’m the welfare officer for the job
- Inclusivity at Every Level. I want UCL JSOC to be the place where every Jewish student feels at home, whether you’ve been to every Shabbat dinner since birth or just discovered how good rugelach can be.
- Organised and Up for a Challenge. I am as organised as a Jewish mother planning a seder for 30, ready to handle the details so you can just show up and have fun.
- Passion for Connection and Community. Jewish life is best when it’s shared. I’m here to make sure everyone has a place, a friend, and a good time
I want to make sure that UCL Jewish Society events are a place to laugh, meet great people, and leave with more friends than you came with.
